About Us
Once upon a time in a land far away (Australia to be exact!) it occurred to the founder of Forestasia, Scott Gruber, that information was the most valuable asset that any organisation can own. That's right, not the complicated manufacturing machinery, opulent office towers, or even the highly trained staff, but information.
Organisations spend vast amounts of money buying or building systems to record and store data. Yet they often lose sight of the fact that the data captured is both more valuable and will have a longer life span than the systems themselves. Consider the endless cycle of system upgrades and replacements that require data to be migrated from outdated legacy systems to their shiny new replacements.
On its own data is just a collection of seemingly unrelated facts and figures, not much use to anybody who lacks the applied knowledge and experience required to interpret it correctly in its raw form. In order to become information, data requires understanding.
In order to become information, data requires understanding.
When you think about it information is the life blood of an organisation. Having access to timely, accurate, consistent and complete information allows decision makers to make well informed decisions. Without this information those decision makers would just be making educated (or even wild) guesses.
Forestasia was established to help the decision makers in organisations gain access to the high quality information they need to make good business decisions.
Been there and done it
